I received my Masters of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling (M.A.) in 2018 from Liberty University in Virginia. During my time at Liberty, I completed one year of internship focusing on young children with ADHD, Autism, and Behavioral diagnosis. I have been working in this field for six years since and have experience in grief, adjustment, severe anxiety/depression, stress, foster care, adoption, family therapy. I have worked in the school, home, and community locations to aid my clients with adjustments to life, stress, anxiety, depression, and social skills deficits.
I have served a broad range of clients ranging from ages 5 to 65. I incorporate individual, family and group therapy. The main populations that I have worked with are children on the Autism spectrum, foster-care children, parent training for parents adjusting to parenthood and BIPOC. I believe in a holistic and person-centered view of counseling and the needs of the client. I look at the person as whole, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, emotions, spirituality, and or relationships. I will mainly be using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Person-Centered therapy, and Play Therapy.
